Ben Hansen Titka: Titokzatos Zöld Fényű UFO

A recent interview on NewsNation has reignited interest in so-called USOs – unidentified submerged objects – following the appearance of mysterious glowing lights beneath the water. The discussion aired on Banfield, hosted by Ashleigh Banfield, who spoke with Ben Hansen, the host of the Discovery+ series ‘UFO Witness’.

The video clip shown on the programme appeared to capture a set of bright, moving lights below the surface of the water. At first glance, Ashleigh said her immediate thought was that the footage could show divers using lights underwater, but quickly reconsidered. „My first thought was that’s got to be divers’ lights,” she said. „And then I thought no, not at night without a dive boat. That’s really dangerous.”

Ben, who is an experienced diver himself, agreed. „Exactly that,” he replied. „I’m a master diver. There’s nobody around there with the dive boat, the dive flag, anything like that. I like to dive at night. Some people go lobster diving. It is still possible, but this doesn’t look like that.”

He explained that reports of objects under the sea are not new. „The UFO thing has always been seeing things in the sky, right? So now that this is shifting to USOs, a lot of people are wondering if this is a new phenomenon or not, and it really is not. Submerged objects have been seen since the beginning.”

The term USO is used to describe unidentified objects seen entering, leaving, or moving beneath water. In some UFO reports, witnesses have described lights or craft that travel between air and water without creating waves or splashes, behaviour often called transmedium travel.

Ben told the host that while natural explanations are possible, some details remain puzzling. „It’s really hard to say whether we’re looking at a natural phenomenon. It’s definitely not like phosphorus or algae. It’s nothing like that, and it definitely doesn’t explain how people are seeing things just come up out of the water and zip out in these huge flaps. That’s been going on for decades.”

Ashleigh added that many witnesses also report objects that re-enter the ocean without disturbing the surface. „The ones that dive back into the water and don’t even make a splash just make the hair on my neck stand on end,” she said.

Ben said it’s still too early to know what exactly was captured in this latest video. „In this particular case, we really haven’t had a chance – no pun intended – to dive into it yet,” he said. „But this is just an example of something much bigger. I’ve had numerous cases with people telling us they’ve been out in the boat and they’ve passed over areas about the size of a football field, and it’s like somebody turns on a switch and the whole thing just lights up underneath them.”

He also referred to a well-known case involving the USS Omaha, a US Navy warship. „We have the USS Omaha case caught on thermal camera where we have this transmedium travel – where they go into the water, don’t seem to disturb it, come up out of the water, sometimes in broad daylight.”

While there’s no confirmed explanation for the latest incident, Ben’s comments highlight the growing interest in underwater UFO reports. Whether these lights prove to be military technology, natural phenomena, or something still unknown, the mystery of what lies beneath continues to capture imaginations.
